Tired of being achy and injured right as Nutcracker rehearsals are ramping up? Learn strategies and tips for healthy and sustainable rehearsal and recovery, even with those long November days in the studio. With some planning in advance and healthy habits, you can dive into your Christmas shows wholeheartedly!
Warm-up Well
An effective neuromuscular warm-up can help prevent injuries and improve technical performance. While stretching is an important part of warm-up, you dancing will benefit from much more. This workshop provides a framework and a toolbox of exercises to help each participant develop their own warm-up.
Basic Anatomy for Dancers
A foundational knowledge of anatomy leads to more aware and mindful dancers, assisting with movement acquisition and problem solving. Created with multiple learning styles in mind, this workshop series allows dancers to glimpse below the surface at the beauty and complexity of the human body.

Spring into Summer Intensives
The new experiences and extra classes of your intensives make your technique grow in leaps and bounds, but they also place unusual stress on your body. Learn strategies to manage that stress effectively and make your summer intensives great.
Strengthen your Foundation
Learn basic anatomy and physiology of the ankles and hips along with exercises and activities to strengthen and stabilize, from the ground up and core out. Beginning with a brief lecture, participants will then experience the structure and function of these joints and gather applicable ideas to build their stability and skills.
Injury Prevention & Management
Providing a broad introduction and general concepts to dance healthier, this workshop covers a range of wellness topics including injury risk factors, recovery strategies, nutrition, and more. This workshop also includes answers to commonly asked questions and practical tips for the studio.
